I think my discovery 2 td5 is overboosting which way is it to adjust the gate valve so I can try to get the boost to activate later is it more threads visible or less thread thanks in advance

I found a boost wizard chip connected to my map sensor yesterday and it was wired incorrectly and think it may of damaged my ecu If I was to change my ecu id reference MSB101192 for another ecu with the same MSB number would I still have to get my discovery 2 re programmed for it to work ie off...
