chap down the road is trying to sell a n reg 2.0 mpi disco ,i heard they are not the ones to buy ,underpowered and they use the rover 2.0 ltr engine out of a rover 800,anybody had one of these ? he only wants 1500 quid

looking for a td5 so i can use it as a workhorse and would love to do some off roading,am in walsall west midlands,is there a local group? any advice on buying would be appreciated. how much would i expect to pay for a td5?
