Every time I go over to France, I come back with a fuel related problem.. Is French diesel contaminated?????:welcome2:

Help wanted, friends... Fuel filter warning light came on...TD5 Auto X .reg Changed the filter and now it wont start. Done the usual trick, of , ignition on and pressing accelerator pedan a few times, but to no avail... Any ideas???

Hi all..god to be here. Have 2000 TD5. Am trying to change the oil, but cant undo the sump nut. Am sure its 17 mm but wont loosen. Areal pain. Any ideas???

Hey all you brains. Disco X Reg 77000 miles Just renewed transmission oil. Level is perfect. Transmission oil high temparature warning light comes on and stays on after 4 miles. Limp home mode does not click in. Any ideas???????? Grateful for any help. Thanks

Hi all The alarm on my Disco Series 2 decided to activate last night and whatever i did, it just would not turn off. After 30 minutes and very annoyed neighbours I disconnected the battery, just for peace sake. This morning, I put everything together, and Hey presto, no problem. Am I missing...

Hi Folks I want to rustproof the underside of my Disco. I believe Waxoyl comes in Paint-on or Spray on versions. Has anyone done this to 'theirs' and which method is reccomended. Any advice welcome. Thanks

Have just bought a 2000 Series 2 Disco. It was previously owned and run by the coast and has a salt damaged chassis. How can I stop any further corrosion? Please help Diesel :mad: :mad:

Disco 300 Tdi 1994. Shortly after starting up, the main drive belt jumps ont the outer rim of the water pump pulley, which then sounds like a bucket full of marbles. I have fitted a new belt and the water pump is OK and the pulley looks all right. Can anyone help me on this one please? :mad: :mad:

Just updated to this and am well pleased after spending the last 6 years with a 1994 Series 1. I am told that my 'newy' has a BMW engine. If this is true, what can I expect ? Pro's and con's please. All comments welcome:eek:

I have a house in France but work in UK. I want to use veggie oil but will I be looking for problems going through customs at the Ferry ports. ie. the smell

I've been told that the new Disco is produced with the Ford Transit body shell. Having seen a few, I have to agree. Bit sad, isn't it???:eek:
