Hello, I may of already asked a similar question... Just need to know, is it possible for me to get inside the transfer box and replace the chain without taking the whole box of the gearbox ? Thanks :confused:

Hi everyone quik question for the mechanics, What is it like swapping the transfer box ? Is it too heavy to do with out lifting equipment if there is two of us ? Thanks:eek:

My mate from work has just been round after collecting his second car (19 years old) 1998 2.5dt manual 116k, its in nice nick but the interior is a bit mix and match, the passenger seat is electric but does not work and the drivers seat is manual :S it has a/c that does not work and heated...

Iv now got a leak just to the back of the engine and front of the gearbox, if i leave the car stood for 15 mins after a short run round town there is a patch of fluid about 6" diameter and looks like oil as it wont wash away, iv got some on my finger and its like a very thin oil but also watery...

Not sure if anyone has ever done this but just a little hand if needed.. I decided to change the bulb behind my clock as since iv had it i didn't realise it was supposed to be lit up :doh: I read up on the forum and on rangerovers.net that to change the bulb i had to take off the side panels...
