Last week I had a new ird and vcu unit fitted. Yesterday driving along it wouldn't accelerate over 50mph. I changed down gear and the revs went up but the sped struggled to increase. Few minutes later it would drive perfect and accelerate normal but then happen again later. Any ideas what it maybe?

My freelander is in the shop which will proberly have a new ird box fitted this week. Looking at click4warranty they say claims can be put in from day 1. Do you think they would cover these boxes? I've emailed to ask. Thinking an idea would be to take out a cover which is £652 including 4x4...

Does it affect the ird and vcu box a lot with different makes or more with different pressures?

How much did you pay for it all to be done? Only through a garage/dealer Replacing mine and want to check if I'm getting a good deal when they ring with a price

Took my car for a new exhaust today, on way down it was making a horrible noise around 35mph but when the car came off the ramp it started clonking going backwards and forwards at low speed, they checked it over and said the drive shaft (front left side) has gone, you could hear it clonking if...

Not sure wether I should take mine to a garage which has good reviews etc for its major service or if I should really take it to a land rover specialist? Do you think the normal garage might not do certain things a 4x4 specialist would do in its service?
