I have bought a non runner 2000 Defender TD5 at auction. I've discovered it has been robbed of the ECU from under the drivers seat as well as most of its relays and I'm sure the list wont stop there. Is it possible to fit and reprogram an ECU from a Discovery TD5, or what is my best way to go...

The 200tdi 90 has developed a battery drain. I've put a multimeter in series with the battery it shows 3.6Amps of a load, I pulled the fuses one by one but the drain is still there. I notice two leads on the +ve terminal a heavy one which I take goes to the starter motor and a much lighter...

The rear axle on my 90 has an ID beginning with 46S, this is obviously not the original but can anyone tell me what it is from or point me to a list of axle ID numbers. I need to replace the final drive pinion oil seal and am not sure which axle I have. Thanks

I would be grateful for advice on replacing the rear crank seal on an early 200tdi 90. Can it be done with the engine in situ and drop the gearbox or is it better to remove the engine. Any tips or advice appreciated.

Anyone fitted a Disco1 chassis to a 90, My 90 chassis is nackered, I have a Disco 1 with a good chassis. I know the wheelbase is longer on the Disco and outriggers will have to be sorted, but is it possible.

I haven't heard of them but are prefabricated chassis rail centre sections available off the shelf - I can't afford/justify a complete chassis and if these were available they would be a lot handier to fit than doing a complete rebuild. Thanks Jim

A loud bang then no rear suspension - luckily it happened only a mile and a half from home. I can hear the compressor running on tick over, however when any of the doors are opened the compressor stops and starts up again whe the door is closed. Has anybody got any ideas what has failed.:mad:
