    Disco 2 Footwell Leak Tracing

Think we all been through this, and to be honest it could be coming from anywhere. Start at the top, sunroof, roof bars, work down, windscreen all around, remove front scuttle cover. Up in footwells, grommets, door seals. I ended up selling mine as I just could not get to the bottom of it. Sorry...

FL2 - hit and run (no one hurt) - damage repairable?

Long time since I done one, but don't think replacement was a big job. Few bolts, couple of screws and lots of scrivets !

FL2 - hit and run (no one hurt) - damage repairable?

Apparently leaving the scene of an accident is not necessarily a crime ! An Amazon van hit my Daughter in her Polo on a roundabout, spun the car around ! Whilst she recovered from the shock, he got off. When we eventually found an open Police station they asked did we have registration number...

    TD5 Mysterious Coolant Leak?

If it is a coolant leak and not an internal seepage. Have a look at the heater pipe that runs across the back of the engine, between the bulkhead.

    Series 2 Series IIA - suddenly won’t turnover…

Similar issue on my petrol 2A, it was indeed the push button switch. Take off give it a good clean, make sure earths are good and try again.

Freelander 2 huming noise above 50mph

If this was a Series I would remove rear prop', go for a drive and see if noise stops. Tyres have to have equal wear, but Haldex failure is common.

    Starter Motor/Solenoid

Disconnect the battery negative before removing starter.

DIY or call in a professional?

If the price seems fair, let the professionals do it. though I can't see autoglass being cheap. Not done a Freelander myself but on other cars it has been a case of slow and careful. Usual fixings are on top and bottom of the glass guide. Have you a manual ?

Series 2 RH rear flasher not flashing

Long shot but do you have tow bar electrics fitted ? I had similar issue with my Series 2. I thought I traced it to a poor bullet connection in the loom, just before it entered the chassis next to the gearbox. I reworked that connection and it worked for a while. When it went again I...

    2 1/4 diesel coolant type

I belive Prestone say it can be used as replacement but I keep it for top ups.

    2 1/4 diesel coolant type

I would stick with the old standard - Blue If you want to change, then the whole system has to be cleared and flushed before use. Prestone do a Universal, but I think this best kept for the occasional top up. And my decider. The blue is cheaper - at the moment ...

Freelander 2 sd4 losing power pulling away at junctions

Not much you can easily do about the throttle body but try Nodges advice with EGR, you could even start with simple EGR cleaner additive. Not that difficult to remove and clean, then go for split turbo/boost pipes. Fuel is another possible. Start with the cheaper fixes and work your way through...

Disco 2 Discovery 2 Suspension Guide

Not all insurance companies are created equally. 1- Over the years I've had, 'no report required but increased premium'. 2 - 'Engineers' report, which consisted of someone we knew who worked for a major chain checking everything was tight with no leaks and headed notepaper ! TBH, they would...
