I, unfortunately, had two shots. The initial & the booster. I did initially refuse but it turned into a cult that you had to have it so I stupidly went along for both shots.

Just got the FIP done nicely, too. I sold my engine hoist, too after I rebuilt the series engine. Tempted to have a stab at this job. Its farting on taking all the auxiliaries off that gets me down.

Garage won't touch it so I'll have to take it to a specialist.

Yeah, I was sceptical about the covid jab but now I feel certain it has something to do with this.

I'm taking it to the garage today. I could have done the job myself but I've just been in the ICU in hospital with a blood clot on the lungs (which is still there) So I can't be arsed to do it myself.🤪

Sorry, when I said "after fixing the pump" I meant the FIP.

No. The pumps probably original but the fluid has been replaced.

Yes, the noise gets louder when turning, however, it's just started after fixing the pump.

I've got a hospital appointment tomorrow. Do you think it'll last that long if its just started failing?

Right, changed the steering fluid and the noise is still there. It goes away when I'm accelerating but comes back when the cars idling.

Are they factory fitted. If that's the case then the fluid likely has never been changed. I'll see if I can peel the tabs off with a thin flathead screwdriver. The tabs are around the back which makes this a nightmare...

How'd you get these clips off?

From what I can deduce, the smaller port on the base of the reservoir is the return line.

Cheers. It's not a electronic pump it's just a manual one. Could that do damage/how would it damage it? Would I have to jack the front tyres up off the ground or is there another way like putting cardboard under the wheels?

I was going to pump out the old oil in the reservoir remove the return line (blocking off the return nozzle on the reservoir) then refill the reservoir with clean fluid & vacuum pump the old stuff through the system while drawing the fresh fluid through and topping the reservoir up as I go but I...
