    Radiator

Ha ha. No it's a line from only fools and horses. Del boy meant 'No way Jose!' I found something in the shed that might do it.

    Radiator

Brilliant! Thanks. you know I thought of doing that but figured as the expansion pipe from the filler cap is above where the it's high pressure innards does its thing that the additional spigot or whatever its called brazed onto the old radiator must have a different job? It would be a so great...

    Radiator

I got my rad out today just as the new one arrived. They are exactly the same size. But there was a nozzle brazed/welded onto the old one that isn't on the new one asI have a v8 from an old r.rover as u probably know from reading this thread. I probably need to get one on the new rad.

    Radiator

So I'm going to replace the rad on my series 3. I want it to slot straight in but want a new aluminium core one. Most are out of stock but I have found one place that does them but it has plastic top and bottom. Is that normal? Worth buying?

Electric fuel pump won’t stop priming.

Cheers. So I can fit a regulator to work with a red top? Wasn't sure they could be regulated as per previous post.

Electric fuel pump won’t stop priming.

Yes, it’s a v8 from a r.r. Classic 1983. Original series 3 petrol tank. Can I keep this pump and work out a way to return the overflow back to the tank?

Electric fuel pump won’t stop priming.

Ah yes I see. I did have a look on the link pipe a couple days ago but I'll look again. Thanks very much to you and all. P.

Electric fuel pump won’t stop priming.

OK thanks. So if I squash the overflow pipes and the pump stops priming it would suggest that the pump is too powerful for the su's. I might see if these overflow pipes are actually meant to return to the tank somewhere/somehow. Tomorrow is another day!

Electric fuel pump won’t stop priming.

I have a feeling the red top pump might be one that provides too much pressure. Do they have adjustable regulators on them?

Electric fuel pump won’t stop priming.

If it was just one them I could understand that but as it's both it does seem a bit too much of a coincidence that both floats aren't working properly no? Although possible I guess.

Electric fuel pump won’t stop priming.

It's a redtop fuel pump (just checked) and the overflow pipes don't actually go to the tank on mine. They just dangle out the bottom of the engine bay.

Electric fuel pump won’t stop priming.

Evening all My electric fuel pump won’t stop making the priming noise when I turn on the ignition and causes the the twin SU’s to both drip fuel out of the overflow pipes and onto the ground. It continues when the engine runs too. It’s a 3.5 V8 fitted in my series 3. The fuel pump is a retro...

    Got a V8 in my series 3

Ta, would like to know if anyone has done this with a v8 and found the gain adequate. Just don’t want to change it twice. P.

    Got a V8 in my series 3

But it needs an upgraded radiator as the old one for the 4 cylinder engine isn’t coping at all well. Anyone got a series Landy on here with a rover v8 in it that has a radiator that copes ok? Any recommendations? Ive seen an aftermarket upgrade radiator specific for series landys with v8...

    What running temperature

I agree. Just not sure what else it can be. Steady drip/pour as opposed to gushing but yes. Might buy a replacement manifold. Dont know whether to try it first. Such a bummer!
