I just updated my 18" Sport wheels with new set of Falken Wildpeak A/T3WA 235/55R18. Have now driven a bit with these and really happy. Low road noise, good comfort with standard pressures and gives me some sidewall protection when going unpaved roads.

New intercooler hose (the long curved one) for my TD4. Not a fancy silicone one but black rubber. The old one had rubbed to a bracket underneath because someone had broken the rubber cushion that should be covering the bolt head. I removed the bolt and used a zip tie instead.

Nice! Did you get the old one apart already? I had a bit of a fight to get the prop off the old VCU.

It came out ok. The rubber is thinner that I originally was thinking but does the job and it's easy to remove if needed. That’s the nature of rubber mats. I'm one of those lucky ones to have Hippo that doesn't leak water in or oil under ;) I think typically these leak from the rear door seals?

30€ roll of rubber mat for automotive use, scissors and 30 minutes of my time.

After 1200km roadtrip with dogs finally back home. I vacuumed the whole car. Cleaned the back windows (dogs..). Washed the car. Checked the oil level, no change at all. I start to trust this car now after two over 1000km trips. Even left my Foxwell home for the latest trip. To be honest haven't...

Hah, well the hovawart male (blonde one) is a big one. The german longhaired pointer male isn't that big but they are dog size dogs. Wouldn't be possible to travel with these in the boot and persons in the backseat.

Having couple days off this week, so we left 500km up to eastern Finland to see relatives with our FL1 TD4. Had a chance to drive the 7km long ice road over the lake which is in use when the ice conditions allow. They claim it's the longest official ice waterway in Europe's inland waterways (...

The pump & filter assembly in FL1 is one of those things that you wouldn't want to do at the side of the road in rain.

Got my summer wheel setup ready. New tyres are 235/55/18 Falken Wildpeak A/T3WA on Sport rims, looks quite nice? We have still ~2 months until spring comes, so these will be waiting in the garage to be installed.

Finally fixed my antenna. The base was broken when I bought it. Easy to access behind the cabin light. But hey, I got my FM radio now!

Engine oil and filter time today, after our Christmas tour. I've been changing oil+filter 3000 km intervals now.

Loosing any pixels of my wonderful "infotainment screen" would be catastrophic! Hope they make Android Automotive that runs on that clock screen. :D

We are used to this kind of driving conditions here, it's like this for 4-5 months a year. And you change gears too and turn heat on also with your right hand while driving and won't crash?

Finished our Christmas Tour, 1200 km trip to eastern Finland. Typical Finnish winter weather, got some freezing cold. snowing and slush. Today we drove back home 450 km and first 250 km it was snowing heavily but that changed to a pouring rain in southern Finland. We had our both dogs with us...

Little over 500 km today in snowy winter conditions (-7 C). Have to say this 18 years old car drives like a dream in icy and snowy roads. Average diesel consumption was 9l/100km and speeds 80-110 km/h.

Dug it out the snow twice. Over 30 cm of snow in one day is a bit too much!
