Ahh the third option ;) Any advice on the speedo coming out to get at my blower?

Yip had to take most of the top dash fixings off to enable me to get the hand in and "just" reach the plug, it was the Mrs that managed to re-connect it :) The thing I was going to research was what fixings need to be taken off to get the speedo/rev counter control off the dash??

Here's what your looking for if doing the resistor. It's a very common fault, when the heater blower is on, the resistor heats up, if the vehicle is not traveling it won't get cooled so it fails. The new part is protected better from this fault.

I have just done my resistor pack and replaced it with a new type "supposedly" a better upgrade. Currently my dash is nearly all off to get into the heater matrix and try replace the blower. I now have my 3 heater settings operational again but the blower sounds like a chopper hovering :D...

Do you have the blower for the heater? I'm currently sourcing one but it would be good to know you have one if I need to come back. Mines sounds like a chopper hovering under the dash board :D

How much crap have you got on your keyring that dangles from yer barrel? Get rid of weight If ye have a bit on there. Mines did the same and it was the ignition needed securing.

They are about £30 I got mine from paddocks along with discs etc so delivery was free. Great upgrade IMHO :)

Wipac lenses is what I upgraded too. The bulbs are the same wattage and voltage as originals so you don't risk electric woes. A good upgrade and they do look the doo da's after the old ones were pretty tierd. This is the only pic I can find at the minute but if you want more I'll get some done

Why get rid of the V8 badges? Looks the dogs doo da's !! Mines nearly looked like that when I first got it :D
