    Correct tracking procedure

Ill check mine again but I'm sure it doesn't. It's got three lugs on it but no notch in any of them

    Corroded Aluminium

If you're against replacing anything original with new parts then owning a Land Rover isn't for you

    Correct tracking procedure

Looking at that it is odd that your rear wheels are out of toe by the same amount but surely the front wheels can't then be aligned to 0 toe using the rear wheels as a guide

    Correct tracking procedure

Thanks all. I managed to find this (see attached) which gives a good idea of somewhere to start and the correct drop arm position. It's kinda for their heavy duty conversion kit but is applicable to standard set ups. Unfortunately I don't have the notch on the back of mine as it was normally...

    Correct tracking procedure

I'll also need to find out how I can correctly determine that the drop arm and steering box is in the dead centre straight ahead position. Steering wheel isn't anything to go by unfortunately

    Correct tracking procedure

Does anyone know the correct settings for doing the tracking properly? Toe in or out settings and where the drop arm should be pointing. I know that with the wheels in the straight ahead position the drop arm should be slightly to the offside but are there any marks to show the correct position...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Checked the swivel preload (again) and filled both front hubs up with nice new grease. Changed the a frame balljoint (what a **** of a job), tightened the rear right wheel bearing, replaced the UJs on the rear prop, tried to see why my rear diff flange was leaking before deciding that it must be...

    Horn not working!

Check continuity on the horn connections coming from the switch. If you get an open circuit when you press it then the switch is buggered

    TD5 Fuel guage problems

Earth issues. I had this with my fuel and temp guages where they would fluctuate by themselves with the fuel guage occasionally dropping to zero despite plenty fuel in the tank. It was especially apparent with the side lights on. Not only did I find chaffing to the fuel sender earth wire at the...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Done the front propshaft UJs and refitted it then sealed a leak (hopefully) on the transfer box. Discovered that my rear prop now needs the UJs doing but that's a tomorrow job and with that off it'll let me sort out that diff flange leak as well.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Nice colour. I was considering painting mine green and you might have swayed me. What paint are you using?

Death wobble and swivel pin preload.

I might need to try this as I'm still getting that rattle and wobble through the steering and can't think what else to change. I'll see if my local motor place can get one in for me as they always have good brand name stuff anyway

    Defender side repeaters

Mine has the type that just clips in, never seen yours before. Even my 86 plate 90 didn't have those

Death wobble and swivel pin preload.

Drop arm balljoint done. Absolute piece of cake of a job, especially when you've got the right tools. Dunno what all the faff is about lol. New panhard rod bushes pressed in and that'll be going on tonight. The Febi ones are great quality and just look at the difference between those and the...

    Remote battery switch ...

I ordered a remote battery cut off relay as extra security, fitted it and it worked really well until I realised that neither by tracker or alarm worked 😒. It promptly got taken back off and I could have rewired both directly to the battery but that's more hassle than it's worth. I might fit the...

Death wobble and swivel pin preload.

Yeah that's mine in the video. Everything else is solid besides that and when id taken it off the rubber had become detached. No idea what's going on but I've ordered a poly set and I've also managed to get a febi set from my local motor place. I'll fit the Febi ones first and see how they go...

    Voltage reading in ground cable(s)

There aren't that many earth points and the loom behind the dash is accessible. The dash is easy to remove and if it means getting better access to solve your problem then it's worth it. It sounds like a short to me though but it may not be behind the dash, they're very prone to chaffing inside...

Death wobble and swivel pin preload.

They are the correct bolts but failing that I'll have some spares kicking around somewhere. ill go have a look just now for some decent bushes, I'm not bothered about whether or not they're poly but hopefully there's a bit less to go wrong with those I've never have had issue even fitting cheap...
