    200TDI Gear Ratio

Drive a bit slower on the motorway. My son has a 200tdi and 1.2 transfer box. It is fine in most situations but it lightly loaded, lots of steep hills can prove a challenge though. We stopped on a steep road in Wales once and had to use low range to get going again.. I have an overdrive on the...

    Fitting Britpart seat covers

You can't rely on the axles being correct for that year, my son's Ninety has a Disco 1 front axle I do believe.

    Fitting Britpart seat covers

You don't have a Defender though, maybe the early seats are different in some way?

    Gearbox Jerky at Idle

How about wear in the throttle linkages.. ours would tickover lovely when stationary, take it for a drive and it would be erratic again, all down to worn linkages.

    Another TD5 with starter problems!

That's a cheapy random aftermarket one then. I paid £160 for a Denso a couple of years ago, £180 seems the cheapest price now.

    Another TD5 with starter problems!

I have repaired both mine and my son's FPR with success. I replaced my starter with a Denso unit when it needed replacing

Locked out of the front doors in my disco 2, help!

Maybe whatever the handle operates has come off? Mind you then you would be able to open from the inside I guess. It seems a little odd that both front door catches would fail at the same time.

    Another TD5 with starter problems!

That's quite common for the FPR to leak and bugger up the starter motor. Did you repair the FPR or replace it with a cheapy? Good you got warranty on the starter, where did you buy it from?

I am nowhere near being an expert but from what I have read on here you need to check the readings from the cps when starting.

    Series 2A clutch bleed access

Aha I remember now, big rubber grommet. Is it lhd in Canada? I think it is. There should be a bleed nipple in the top of the slave cylinder next to where the flexi pipe goes into it. You might be able to undo from inside the engine bay with suitable socket and extensions if not accessible from...

    Series 2A clutch bleed access

Sorry, what do you mean, what are you trying to do bleed the clutch? All I did was release the bleed nipple and let it flow through, make sure the master cylinder stays full of fluid. Have you even located the slave cylinder?

Did they really use aluminium bolts? Never heard of such a thing.

LTB01225 Water Ingress Into The Passenger Compartment

I have a friend who is a windscreen fitter, it's well known that various RR products leak through the screen, behind the dash and into the loom and ECUs, requiring replacement. I would sell whatever vehicle you have and buy something decent.

    Series 2A clutch bleed access

If its a 2a with a cross shaft it's pretty straightforward if I remember correctly. Just gravity bleed ours with no problem, guess you could take the transmission tunnel or floor out if you wanted, pretty straightforward.
