    Front lower arm rear bush

The rear bushes are usually so hard to remove it's only worth doing if the arms are good. Replacement bushes will need pressing in unless you pay extra for the complete unit and this requires a press.

So long as he's paying the bill just go with it. It's easier that way. ;)

    VCU Torque test results

I've never tried testing a VCU that way but it looks kinda tight to me. The scaffold weighs a kilo or two as well as the 6kg weight. In the past I've stuck screwdrivers through the UJ joints to turn a VCU but could never have applied the force you have here.

    Freelander 1 Freelander EV

I wouldn't mind so much but the charging timer was only installed a couple of months ago. :( At least it helps me remember how I installed everything in the first place. I spent a few hours rebuilding the HV junction box so it's almost complete, When that's done I need to make a new LV box from...

    Freelander 1 Freelander EV

The rebuild has started. HV and LV junction boxes removed Dumped in a box I was never happy with the previous design that kinda evolved as I learned more about what I needed. I had LV components in the HV JB which is an obvious no no, and hadn't left room for the two new contactors...

    Unable to bleed brakes

Agreed, if the assistant is pumping the pedal with the bleed nipple open, every time they lift their foot air gets in.

    MK1 Freelander lost keys

It was a while ago but IIRC the car I looked at had a button to start it so the guy may have wired it into the starter relay. I did a similar thing myself recently in my wifes Ford Kuga. It stopped recognising the clutch was pushed in even though I replaced the switch at the pedal so the Start...

    MK1 Freelander lost keys

Bypassing the immobiliser is possible as I once saw a Freelander where it was done but I don't know how. Does the immobiliser send CAN messages to the ECU or is it as simple as a GND or 12V signal?

What have you done to your Freelander today

All of my Freelanders had original exhausts so they must have been well made. And yes as Nodge says the power steering hose is always flattened like that. It had me concerned too the first time I saw it.

The case and headers arrived today. :) The Evri driver mustn't have had his glasses on as he dropped it off at a neighbours door. Thankfully he took a photo of the parcel at the door and I was able to recognise the address. Anyway I have it now so no harm done. This is the complete kit now...

What have you done to your Freelander today

I've seen the same issue with a blue Freelander. It seems the blue paint doesn't stick well to the undercoat for whatever reason.
