    Steering rack prices

Wassup - have you broke it?
  2. Freddie17

    Sporadic starting .

Have you dislodged or split a boost pipe when doing the job?
  3. Freddie17

    OMG i keep breaking down

You defo need a new mechanic. If possible, take someone who is mechanically-minded with you when you go back. Fuses missing are a massive tell-tale…

    Resticted Performance Triangle

Assumed you’d already tried the normal regen route as your first post mentioned doing 50-60 for an hour, which should have forced it.

    Resticted Performance Triangle

LR diagnostics can force a regen, but I thought the car would display a ‘DPF full’ message, if that was the issue(?)

    Diagnosis based on Symptoms please

Lack of power and smoke could be a loose/split boost pipe. Other things to check besides the filter and LP pump are the O rings on the high pressure pump. These wear over time also. Cheap repair kits online. If you have decent diagnostics you should be able to see the high and low fuel pressures.

Freelander 2 (LR2) Adding auto headlights & wipers?

Possibly - I’ll look next time I plug LR SDD laptop in to it. If it works and I can configure, I’m happy to come over @GrumpyGel and do yours, but you’ll have to cover expenses 😵‍💫🤪

Freelander 2 (LR2) Adding auto headlights & wipers?

Fink there is a ‘rain sensor’ in the windscreen…?
  9. Freddie17

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Freelander 2 max height?

Of course, fitting different sized tyres is a modification, and so you “may” have to notify your insurance.

Freelander 2 (LR2) Error codes B1083-09, B1085-09 air con damper?

Door actuators are fairly common. Fairly easy job - there are some videos on YouTube.

Freelander 2 (LR2) Adding auto headlights & wipers?

*1 is magic, and seems to be installed in every F2 😵‍💫 Auto lights are great, but, as every car, they still struggle to sense fog during the day, and so many people forget to override and switch their lights on. (That’s not LR specific of course). Still don’t think you can retrofit these though.
  12. Freddie17

    Which to keep

Your asking on a LR forum whether you should keep the LR or a Passat? VW are a good make, but I’d take the Landie any day - much more fun.
  13. Freddie17

    ignore thread please

C’mon - I know it’s holiday season and all that, but has nobody been ignoring this while I’ve been busy? @MGT

What have you done to your Freelander today

Fitted a set of roof rails onto mine today. Have just bought a set of LR roof bars to go onto the rails, so I can stick my roof box onto it later this year…

    2014 freelander 2 (L359) catalytic converter removal

Must admit, I left the exhaust connected at the front when I changed the rear subframe. Just wrestling the rear end down onto supports was bad enough (on your back, on the floor, on your own)

Freelander 1 tailgate window lift puzzler

    Nice one. Well done!

What have you done to your Freelander today

At least it’ll come back. My daughter ‘borrowed’ my F1 when I got my F2 and it never came back. She is now the proud owner of it… uses it as her daily. Of course, she paid for it - not!

    Freelander 2 (LR2) What causes fuel starvation on a warmed-up FL2 petrol

No, a cam censor should not look like that! IIRC, and assuming the petrol is the same principle, back-probing the wires you should find a 12v supply, a signal and a ground. The signal should give around 5v. Your ‘odd’ readings are indicative of a duff sensor. Yours has 2 I believe - have you...

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Noise when turning steering – Freelander 2 TD4

Possibly just an air lock and no damage done - fingers crossed for you

    Freelander 2 (LR2) What causes fuel starvation on a warmed-up FL2 petrol

Yes - as per your other post and the advice given, check your camshaft sensors first, before disappearing down bigger rabbit holes! A faulty cam sensor can cause starting issues, especially when the engine is warm.
