I'm thinking, lots of people repair their vehicles and fill the cavities with something to protect them. A few years ahead, if welding is necessary, could be a fire risk.

Re filling the chassis with some protective product, could make things very smelly or even flammable if anyone had to carry out some welding in the future.

Another thought, check your inner wings at the bulkhead, possibly remove the plastic guards under the wings to have a proper look. Also check the sills, boot floor, I'm not sure of other rust spots. If you find any serious corrosion then you have to question how far you should go. I don't know...

Presumably he would arrange to blast the chassis first?. Personally I'm not a fan of powder coating, if the paint chips rust spreads under the hard coating. I know bull bars are now rare but they showed the weakness of this coating, they all rotted. I'd be tempted to use a good quality paint...

I wouldn't remove the cover on the auto pump. Tried this in my own Disco and diesel spilled out. I was told I was lucky the diesel seal held when I reassembled it. Apparently you can remove the cover on the manual to bypass something there. Approach with caution is all I'd advise. Buzzing is...

There are two flexible pipes feed in at the top of the tank, both come from the filler. The one just over 1inch diameter was dozed and cracked on mine but I can't remember if a leak would run towards the pump or away. You might need to drop the tank a bit to check it properly. It was also poor...

I had worked on the battery terminals when I first bought the vehicle, not a great design. I was thinking the starting, stopping, and moving around in the shed had just upset it a bit. If there's no particular failure, should the lights extinguish if I take it for a short drive?
