What have you done to your Freelander today

Confused !! There were so many opinions out there and no absolute answer so I asked the manufacturer. Key thing is if the vents in-between the discs are angled. These are not but their orientation matters to pull air in. The slotted grooves, according to the manufacturer should face forward...

Freelander 1 tailgate window lift puzzler

The glass position when closed is indicated by a hall effect sensor in the motor assembly. When it stops moving the CCU knows glass is up. As above, recalibrate with glass in and see what happens. In have had defective sensors which can be changed or motor complete can be changed.

I tried an aluminium welding stick and a gas torch. All super clean and it flowed nicely but obviously not gas tight. Soapy bubbles proved that !!

2004 3 door V6 - sudden misfire, OBD port and auto box locked in park. Coincidence?

Switch on brake pedal allows stick to move out of park. I think it is the small hall effect one, not the brake lamp switch. Maybe come unplugged or out of alignment. Or broken !!

But does it start ok?? I found that over 1V is dropped in the immob module. One of my vehicles has a button feed straight to the starter for cold weather and even when the battery won't operate the starter via the immob, the button does !! Charge old battery and monitor voltage over a few weeks...

Do you get a solenoid click?? Measure cranking voltage. Low voltage can be insufficient to pull the starter in and make the contacts up. It could be worn contacts or high resistance as you say. Earth leads can be checked by measuring voltage drop across chassis to engine block.
