Paul D. The Xenon light bulbs are the same wattage rating. Its down to the brainy use of different gas mixes within the bulb to make it burn different and produce a cleaner light or somthing like that but I would aggree with the higher wattage "Off road" not road legal bulbs would draw too much...

Diesels dont have "cats" they have particulate filters and they dont alter the tested gases in an mot test. There are a lot of people who have removed theres on here (300tdi) that have gone straight through an mot with out any emision problems.

spose but i've seen a few people saying that the transmition light has come on whilst towing due to over heating so I duno. Ive only ever towed with a manual so I cant say one way or the other.

Didn't think auto was the transmision of choice when towing with all the changing up and down when it sees fit??? I know you can lock em in gear but surly a manual is better for towing int it?

FPR?? Fuel pump return? If you have a diesel leak then there is a chance it is sucking in some air and air bubbles in a diesel fuel line makes for an unhappy Landy.

Was it running on LPG or petrol when it happened. Either either way it sounds like a good service is in order. Fuel filter and plugs sound like the order of the day.

I know I will be corrected if im wrong but I beleive that any petrol vehicle registered after Jan 93 has to have a cat fitted or it will fail its mot even if the emmisions are within tolarances. Not that hard to spot that it hasnt got cats when its on a ramp being proded during an mot test.

Wind your steering stops out to stop the larger diameter tyres catching the inner arches on full lock which is another thing to fail an mot on as if their wernt anough things they fail on anyway! Might need extended bump stops to stop em hitting tops of the inner arch if your going at it a bit...
