If particulate filter remover and a straight pipe fitted the mot tester has to know 100% that it rolled out the factory with one fitted before he can say its missing so I think were all safe.

So long as you get a water tight seal and the inlet is above water level you shouldn't have a problem. Use more silicon or plastic weld on the joints.

Between bleeding I beleive you are supposed to turn the steering to full lock in both directions and hold it for a few seconds and bleed it again. Check you fluid level all the time you are bleeding the system so it doesn't draw air in.
