The only way this could happen is if the battery positive cable has touched the ECU casing. They dont just burn out when changing the air filter. Anyway I have brand new ECU which I dont need so if interested or if he has problems with them reconditioning the original one PM me. Cheers

Its behind the passenger compartment glovebox. Its a black module with 4 or 5 electrical connectors going into it.
