thanks for all the comments, will try a set of OEM shocks I think. What are the best tyre pressure to use on the 16" wheels. Handbook says 28 front and 38 rear. There is usually only me in the car, 38 on the rear tyres seems high to me considering the weight is mostly at the front?

Sorry all, yes its on the factory fit air suspension, its not and will never be as long as I own it converted to springs!

The only polybushes I can see are on the front anti roll bar, not sure how much of a difference these would make alone.

I agree with this, unlikely to be glow plugs, seen loads of fuel pumps give this problem, especially on 2002MY

That codes means the needle lift sensor is not matching the crank sensor so if you have already changed the needle lift injector and checked the wiring from it then could be as KDS says

What exactly is ratio 21/38 - 90? What does it mean or relate to? Hear a lot of talk on here about the IRD ratio's changing on later models. What exactly changed internallly to the ird to make it different from early models? For instance is it the diff inside the IRD that changed? :confused:

You cant swap the engine ecu car to car on a TD4 as its coded to chassis/immobilisation system. Whether anybody can decode them I dont no (T4 cant decode them though so you would need some sort of specialist)

I am just starting to strip and rebuild the gearbox on my freelander. Does anybody no what is actual inside the final drive carrier as shown below. If I was to open it up what would I find in there? Thanks

Forgot to say I changed both the intercooler pipes, no different, then I joined both the pipes for a test just to rule out the intercooler and it was still the same, oh well gave up with it months ago now :)
