    Thank you for this information, I would tend to lean more on the side of the coil being defective rather than the remote handset(s), as I have two working handsets and this problem occurs with both of them, unless I am really unlucky and both handsets are dodgy!

    P38A What model do you have?

    Mine is 4.0 SE (Gems), tan cloth Interior, manual heater dials with no air con, no sunroof, 16" wheels, literally a base spec which is the reason why I purchased it. Not one of these fancy HSE models with every extra, all that leads to is costly repairs IMO :p

    Just to close this one off I fitted a new front passenger side door latch today and thankfully the bouncing locks have stopped so guess those micro switches were playing up in the old latch.

Also changed the front diff pinion seal whilst the prop was off as it had a slight leak and checked the front and rear diff oil.
