Agree, especially if you have to remove the complete bumper just to re-attach them! I definitely do not want to remove the bumper, read a few horror stories on here regarding brackets/fixings corroded etc making it a nightmare to get the bumper back on so dont want to go down that path!

Ok thanks, I really don't want to remove the complete bumper! I will have to find an alternative way to re-attach them. Crap design IMO if you cant re-attach the clips.

Quick question that I hope someone can answer. Are the two (coloured) rear bumper inserts at the side of the bumper easy to remove or does the whole bumper have to be removed to gain access to remove them? Just thought Id ask before potentially breaking them trying to get them off. Thanks

So my car is a 1997 4.0 petrol so will have 2 pin diffs fitted. Can anybody tell me what the actual difference is internally between 2 pin and 4 pin diffs? Is it possible to make a current 2 pin diff into a 4 pin? Thank you

Thanks wammers, I have done some research and reverse mirror dipping is apparently enabled when the presence of a drivers seat seat memory outstation is detected so as you say I need to find a second hand switch pack first, then I guess it plugs into the BECM.

Can this feature (in the title) be retro-fitted to a vehicle which originally left the factory without the dipping function or is it an impossible task? My car is a 1997 V8 Auto. Thanks

Thanks all for the comments so far, I should have stated that the UJs (GKN brand) were changed (and yes I did grease them) a few months ago so unless I have dodgy new GKN UJs it cant be that, the issue was there before I changed them and changing them has made no difference at all sadly...

Is there a torque figure applied to the hub nut which is used to determine if the viscous is seized? Seems subjective otherwise just to say it should turn with with some force. One persons opinion of a high amount of force could be totally different to the next person.
