    Td5 Exhaust De-cat

The Discovery 2 Vin has an 8 or 9 in it (5th digit I think) to denote if car was fitted with cat or without when built. Check to see if the defender is the same, I would have thought so. Should list details in RAVE. My discovery 2 passed its mot last Friday again with no cat fitted with no...

Disco 2 Ace Ram bush replacement

Changed mine last year before as it was totally knackered. Tried driving old one out but wasn't moving. Luckily my nephew works at local Ford dealership so he took roll bar in to work and did it after work and dropped it back next day. He was going to use hydraulic press but ended up using an f...

Disco 4 (LR4) Tyre advice please

Cooper at3 are available as 265/50 r20. I use at3 on td5 and never let me down off road or on road. Less aggressive tread than a full Mt tyre but seem to cope well with the very deep sloppy mud on hills on our local shoot.

    Cold start problem

Half a side of adjustable water pump pliers or an Allen key will work perfectly well. Read link I posted. It really is simples to do. I don't think many people go to the expense of buying a removal slide hammer. A long allen key, about 5mm I think, will do the job fine. Just don't be heavy...

    Cold start problem

Sounds very much like injector washers. Change them yourself in few hours. Certainly not a £2-3000 Bill.!!!! I'm sure others will post similar replies soon. Search injector seals on here and I'm sure the posts will sound very similar to your symptoms. Mine was exactly the same. Changed washers...

Disco 2 Broken it already - Interior light and radio + Clock not working

Not 100% certain but I think it was a 15amp on right hand side. About half way down. Ordered a box of 100 various blade fuses from amazon for about £6. Keep it the car always now.

Disco 2 Broken it already - Interior light and radio + Clock not working

Check all fuses. Pretty sure I did the same putting led interior lamps in mine. The fuse marked as interior lights wasn't the one that was blown. I'm sure they're marked up differently between handbook and fuse box. Think I found the right one after checking about 4 different fuses.

    Struggling to start

Injector seals. Mine was exactly the same. Came on out of nowhere and got worse and worse over next few weeks. Changed seals and been perfect since. Use only genuine LR seals.
