A 4x4 shouldn't be tested on rollers according to Mot testers handbook, a manual floor mounted tester should be used by driving the car on the road and measuring generated braking force. My Mot tester refuses to test my D2 on the rollers.

If you removed the 4 glow plugs to drain water then the 5th cylinder will still be full of water as it does not have a glow plug. Be careful as a friend did them same with a tiny little puddle and his BMW X3 and totally f#@&#d his engine and ended up with a new engine through insurance, lol...

It's screwed into the rear of fuel filter housing. The outside rear pipe if I remember correctly connects to it. I don't think all discos have them fitted though if I remember correctly. Also I have a feeling I remember something about the ECU throwing a wobbly if battery voltage is too low...

I had almost exactly the same thing happen 2wks ago with same symptoms. Car died on Slip road. RAC flatbed to get home. Checked fault codes with nanocom, none. Checked Ecu plug, oily. Put new injector loom in and cleaned plug out next day and car ran intermittently better. Next day car died...
