    Suspicous 90, Wickford, Essex

Went out to my Rangie this morning to find a lifted white 90 hardtop on mud tyres sat behind it and a bloke sat in it scribbling something, which scarpered as soon as I appeared. Worth keeping an eye out for maybe?

Has anyone upgraded the alternator on their 200Tdi RRC (with air-con)? If so which units are a direct replacement please? 100amps or so would be fine.

Thanks chaps, looks like I'm on the right track already, so I'll just have to work my way through checking and cleaning up the rest of the earth points.

Pics of your RR in the snow...

I had an E30 325i Tourer alongside my P38 for a while, but it was even more thirsty than the rangie cause it just begged you to stick your foot down!

RR Classic - Earth or Short?

I have a problem with my girlfriends Tdi Classic, which was laid up for a while but is now back in service, however during the summer months the problem wasn't noticed as it was only used during daylight, but now the clocks have changed it's gonna be a big problem. In going to use it last...

    P38 Snorkel News Flash!

As per my previous post Hard Range in Oz Raised Air Intake "Tourer" | Hard Range Australia have one on offer. It wasn't commercially availble at the time of the original post, but it is now. The only downside is they don't yet have the facilities for international delivery, so it's a case of...

    Gearbox oil argument!

Don't think any kind of grease in an R380 sounds good! It already has a rep for lube not getting to where it needs to, so anything thick risks clogging oil ways that aren't that brill to start with!

Range Rover P38 EAS - Hard Fault Mode! - healp needed please

Multiple faults like that are fairly typical of a failed pump, as there simply isn't enough air in the system for it to operate properly. I would certainly still check for leaks, as that's still the most likely underlying cause of the pump failure, and re-read the faults every few days as that's...

wot mpg do you get from your p38 dse

About the same as 362bkr! Last time I really checked a run, Reading to Galway (465 miles) + about 100 miles once I got there on one tank = approx 28mpg overall

Range Rover P38 EAS - Hard Fault Mode! - healp needed please

been there myself, several times. checking fault codes and the pipework regularly has become a useful preventative measure, otherwise the first you know is it's misbehaving and soon after the compressor's gone and you're looking for another!

Range Rover P38 EAS - Hard Fault Mode! - healp needed please

Compressor overheats/burns out due to overwork, usually due to a leak, so first thing is plenty of soapy water and check all the connections and pipes, they can be very small and still have a big effect over time, so take your time and really look for bubbles.

    RR Classic Central Locking Question

Just started to take a look at my girlfriends Classic as the central locking has never worked, and before I could even get into fault finding discovered what is probalby the main cause, someone's removed the controller! The question is.. before I go find a replacement, is the locking controller...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Replaced the roll-bar links, and discovered why they hadn't been replaced as a pair before, the os one was rusted into place! Also replaced centre section of exhaust, easy peasy!

What have you done to your Landie today.

Finally got it back from mechanic last night after over a week having the head gasket done. Running nice and sweet (to be honest it was even with the blown gasket, but at least it doesn't pressurise and overheat now!) and then out for a spin in my girlfriends classic, that she's just got back on...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Just been down the workship to have a peek at my head now they've got it off the car. Looks like the gasket's blown on cylinder 3 and on the way out on 2, but no-one can understand why sniff and pressure testing didn't show it before!
