    interesting, ive been running my l322 with a bmw 6 speed manual for 4 years, chipped engine and the only real problem i had in the beginning was the rear prop keeped eating centre bearings

    the bit that holds it all together at the end of the housing may have broke, thing to do is undue the nut on the inside of the door lip and take the lock part out and see

    dont bother with the rebuild kits on the bay there too short, ask me how i know

    theres a rod with the end like a philips driver end breaks off the end of the key barrel, if the barrels out a driver of the right size will unlock it

    i know there was no rover v8 then but a carb is more in keeping than masses of censers ,injectors and ecus, being done old school

    jag used twin su's for years on their 4.2 engines to good effect, but this is more for looks than performance
