    Bent is bent, think the cams bearings are line bored with the cam caps fitted, so once head bent they are scrap. Be interesting to know what caused them to warp in the first place?

    300tdi auto N reg onwards were edc engines, pre N reg they had normal throttle cables/injection pumps, EDC autos are slow beyond belief, though when chipped they will beat a std manual td5 hands down. Rover V8s are just crap, and if they are not when you buy it they soon will be.

    What happens is the oiltite bearings run dry and seizes ono the motor shaft, then the bush starts to spin in the motor housing dry and basically shags the whole thing. I tried to strip mine, gave up and bought a new one.
