    just spent the day taking the bro in laws gear box out, we were hoping to find a smashed cog or similar but no every thing seems ok, found a fair bit of play in the tranny box dog clutch but other than that seems ok, the clutch looks fine, the gear box seems fine, the tranny box sounds notchy...

    is there enough room to cut the pipe and get some rubber fuel hose over where the split is? if not it's a new section of pipe mate or new sender you could try a sealant of some sort but i'd say it'd have to be good stuff

    check all union joints for all pipes and ensure fuel tank connections are ok.

    have you tried to spray wd40 or even better grahpite spray in the lock barrel? worked a treat on my disco 300tdi when the lock was doing the same as yours. spray it in give it half a dozen turns on and off then leave it to soak, at one point i couldn't start the disco but never had a problem...

    you need to jack the axle up as much as you dare, then use a big spanner to push the washer down, an get someone else to put the nut on, it was a right tw#t of a job to do thats why i left the rubber bushes on:rolleyes:

    it sounds like static from the alternator i think a suppressor should sort this problem out there only about 10 quid from most good motor factors, they should come with fitting instructions, but most just plug into the ariel socket, hope that helps and welcome to looneyzone ENJOY THE RIDE!

    go for the orange ones matey they give a nice crisp ride, but don't buy britpart i used deflex floflex, they made off road driving exellent, on road was a bit earey as it had a 2" lift to go with it

    yep thats right when i had the disco on road tyres i got 27- 32 mpg after i put insa dakars on i got 23-25 mpg and dakars aren't that aggresive

    no it was a paddock part:o but looks reasonable quality for paddocks i had to pull the old one out and compare them, they look very similar but the right one has a deeper bead than the other one and the right one also has a double liped seal the correct part number is FRC8220 work that fooker...
