if you measure good enough you can do it your self, i had to fit new track rods on mine a couple of times, set them up bang on to the haynes took it for tracking an was told no adjustment needed. din't even get charged ;)

my bro in law had similar problem, he changed the lift pump coz it was fooked, but problem was still the same, it turned out to be the fuel sender, the top pipes corroded but only slightly and it was pulling air in, enough to make it run like crap and pull badly a new sender unit and it goes...

lift pump could be shot but also look at the sedimentor bowl as it may need cleaning, it's located on the chassis rail to the rear drivers side, also check for splits/leaks in pipe work and also the tank sender unit tends to rust and prevent fuel pulling from the tank to pump. hope that helps...

sounds like the swivel seals are shot. look for 'buster how to' thread on swivels it's not a hard job to do just that it can be a pain to set the pre-load

i got a full set from paddocks for about 27 quid

mine was blocked at the jet end, i used a pin and kept pumping an poking till it blew water through, took a while but worked a treat ;)

paddocks do head light protectors/guards, they look good but they're about 70 quid a set they are screwed into the slam panel and can not be removed with out opening the bonnet STC8452 Discovery 1 Front Lamp Guards (pair) - non airbag models only

nail varnish remover but try it some where you can't see first ;)

just a thought! you did replace the P gasket didn't you? coz when i did mine i didn't and ended up redoing it 2 months after

don't mix 2 different colours of anti freeze together, if you have a different colour loosen the bottom rad hose and let it drain for a couple of mins, then fill the header tank upto the level and replace the cap! then fill the rad and replace the cap! then fill the top thermo housing untill...

sounds like a bad earth to me

i had a problem with a new lift pump my prblem was that the new lift pump was back to front, so the inlet was the outlet and viceverser, change the pipes round an see what happens, i would sat iff it was running before chanheing the lift pump ya cam belt will be ok

faulty earth or a blown fuse!

sorry mate the gear box went about 3 weeks ago but i know where there MIGHT be one mid jan
