We have a 04 TD4 Sport in Maya Gold. Some reviews say the suspension is hard but we cant tell. We really like it, you dont see many in Gold! You appear to want something a bit quicker, you are aware the Sport has the same BHP as all the other TD4's? The harder, lower suspension and bigger tyres...

Go for it, we are on our 2nd Freelander, we really like them, just as much trouble as any other car in my opinion, nice to drive and comfortable too, you wont be setting any speed records but if you want a 4wd you wont care about that!
