I decided to strip the bulkhead right out and sandblast it. ive got a new shape Td5 dash to go onto it, anybody have any experience of doing these. looks to be a pretty straight forward swap at the moment

main problem with a big workshop... it gets filled up with ****. and the floor is crap makes life serious hard work trying to move anything heavy on small castors..

new chassis arrived today. and must say im well chuffed, all the welds are neat and tidy. and looks a nice job. just hope everything fits ok when bits start to be put back on.

all in all the chassis was in good nick i put a new x member on the back but with further measurements with the tape measure i found that chassis was twisted. at one stage or another it looked like it had a back end shunt. so bought myself a new galv one from marslands. and with the engine...

in the process of rebuilding the rear axle gave it a coat of 2k epoxy and satin black last week. bit shiny but will die down over time

So though id put some pics up of the build so far. well not quite a build but a strip down first. new chassis comes tomorrow so more photos of the build to come.

there will be don't worry. thought it a bit pointless of pictures of the strip down all youd see is me with the angle grinder. :violent:

shiny new galv chassis from marslands arrives tomorrow at 1pm feels like Christmas has come early. not that anyone else actually want to know haha. but at-least i can finally start putting it back together. :D:D:D:D:D

think that might be a plan. got to try find out where the earthing problem is first. if i had the side lights on and foot on the brake i could take keys out of ignition and engine would carry on running haha

yeh i was looking at where to run it looks bloody hard working putting it back up through the chassis haha

Bloody hell just what you need. Touch wood the engine harness and all the bulkhead harness looks good. Chassis harness is shagged but thats not to much to re wire.

Got to get it back together first haha

Thought not. Besides mass airflow sensor controls air fuel mix.

Alternator is on the left hand side at the front of the engine. Cant be dripping on the gearbox.
