one more problem, and the freelander dies!!

Yeah 3 months! Also pointed out there was oil under what I believe is the distributor cap. The guy just told me in no uncertain terms, that its probably where they spilt some oil after the oil change! Some of the noises not sure if age related or genuine fault. Haynes manual or rave CD, or both?

Hey come on guys anyone with an ounce of sense can see that this is banter, mostly friendly! ha ha. In all fairness people who have replied to my posts know I ain't got a clue about anything on 4 wheels, but they are all still helpful. Some people just enjoy stirring things up! Anyways...

one more problem, and the freelander dies!!

Funnily enough yes he did and he made me feel as if I was causing him an inconvenience. If I am parting with my cash I expect a vehicle that works and good customer service. I did however get a courtesy car, vauxhall astra, hate them! to top it off it's an auto so at the first junction I nearly...

Steam clean and waxoyl? Worth it?

Sorry Sean but thought it had to be some place in Kent that did it. As explained in one of my posts yesterday I am totally new do this. What do I need and where do I paint it on? Is there any reading that may be of help to this subject? With regards to dirty hands I'm a gas fitter and...

Steam clean and waxoyl? Worth it?

Have read that waxoyl is good for discos just wondered if its the same case for Freelanders? Will not be off-roading as the mrs would not be best pleased if I were to have a mishap! Also steam cleaning, can it just cause lots of problems with the electrics, or if done by someone reputable is...

one more problem, and the freelander dies!!

Words to inspire! Well at least I know that the diesels are much better, hope is not lost. I'll be honest once I get that farm then I'll get a defender, however as a family car I do like the freelander. Stupidly choose a petrol one as need a vehicle urgently.

Will have a check tomorrow and let you know. Was advised to ask you about the 1.8i Freelander, do you have one, or just very knowledgeable?

    Water Temp Gauge inoperable

Understood. The reason I got it from a garage with a warranty (for what its worth) is so it would give a little time to learn the basics! Clearly from my landy choice I will need to be a quick learner!

Once again Sean, get the picture! They're crap, however I did choose a freelander as I thought people usually review their vehicle if there is a problem with it. Not many would take the time to post if they have not had any problems, which is why I believed there is hope! In the future I do...

Hey Digger Dude, purchased a T reg Freelander on Saturday, have the knocking, however Prop shaft replaced last Thursday, whining when in use, suspect fan belt, and water temp gauge stuck on 0!!! Love the landy but not the faults! If garage aren't willing to sort under warranty been advised to...
