The electrical manuals are in the Rave workshop manual which you can download off the Internet. It's a big file so give it some time.
The white wire (anywhere) is switched ignition and should be 12.5v or so without the vehicle running but with the ignition switched on. Measure the voltage...

Get it engine speed out of bounds. Pretty good clue!
The faulty wiring loom leaking oil is under the rocker cover, not the one between the engine and the ECU. But the oil causes the problem when it meets the ECU, hence all the cleaning.
I have a similar problem on my rear door without the carrier. I think this is probably caused by worn hinges. So replace them or get a gas strut to damp the mechanism, like these...

So... I'd send back the Britpart shocks and fit the Terra-Firma ones or get new turrets. The Swivels is the way to go if you want to correct the castor.
With a 2" lift and the winch the front will drop with the extra weight anyway. So you'll end up with a 1.5" lift say. I think those new shocks must be very big to foul the turret. I fitted terra-firma shocks with their springs and the std turrets, it all works fine.
I refitted my GPS antenna, moving it from the dash to on top of the roof. Finaly it works like a dream. The windscreen is too upright for the GPS satelite signals to get through.
My stainless diff guards have just come so that's the next job.
Hi Shrek,
I exchanged my Volvo C70 for my 90 TD5 CSW and my kids of 12 and 14 absolutely love it. We've been pounding the school run in it at 60 miles a day since January with all its foibals like no heating etc they still think its the coolest motor on the lot and so do all their friends. A...
Hi :welcome2: to the mad house :D
There are plenty of threads with buying checks in them, do have a search through.
How much are you looking to spend, do you want a 90, 110 or 130, County Station Wagon (CSW), Van or pick up?
I bought a set of 5 Cooper Discovery 265/75 R16. Compared to the General Grabbers they have double the grip. I got fed up locking the wheels on mine, now I cant. (Brake upgrade next!) Excellent open tread pattern so OK off road, not too noisy and look the business. Price around £100 each on...
Hi,
Oil leaking through the fuel injection loom and wicking its way down to the ECU is a common fault, so either way you'll need to sort that in future.
I've been searching for the OBD fault codes and have found this information meanwhile...
A description of the ECM unit itself which is...
Morning all,
Mrs got a job in London so now we all wake up early. Then the cat chimes in wanting first breakfast. I swear that thing eats its own body weight in food every day (cat / wife - take your pick) :D
Good point on the lights, it's functionality you want over looks. I want Stainless Rock and Tree sliders as the galvanising does get bashed off as well as the paint. If you bash stainless it gets scratched but doesn't rust. I was looking at the Terrafirma 90 and a lot of that passivated steel...
I've replaced the standard lap belts in my 90 CSW with the auto lap belts from Exmoor Trim, they work well. the manual adjustable ones are too much of a fiddle for people, especialy kids to use unless they have their regular spot.
Illegal or not I wont have my kids in the car without belts.
:hysterically_laughi Excellent
Nice motor Wiltshire, Not sure about the roof lights, think the black rectangular ones are better. But the rest looks great.
I'm hunting stainless rock and tree sliders at the moment, been quoted £500 so far and so may have to settle for black coated ones.
Loved the website wasted 30 minutes looking at the amazing stuff for sale. Loved the idea of getting this...

It's a Land Rover... so it's a spannering job, just as it's the HG a long spannering job.
Keep checking the coolant as it might have been an airlock clearing that's caused the fluid level to drop. However I suspect that the reason the Rad might of gone in the first place is due to excess...
