I would still paint it. New galv chassis and a coupla layers of good quality paint is only going to be a good thing. Did mine that way. Backed up high impact areas with some stone chip and raptor in other places. Good luck.

Fuel evaporating possibly. See if any fuel lines run close to anything that gets too hot. Briggs engines usually bulletproof. I’ve had this happen too.
