Thanks man so 6.0 - 6.85 litres. part synthetic oil....filter straight forwards. Now just the sump nut size? its more than 24....do i change the brass washer or be ok?

I got a 200tdi recon disco engine put in me td 90. 10,000 miles up and need to change the oil and filter for the first time.:) Got four questions for you 1) What size socket do i need to get the sump nut off...its bloody bigger than owt i got. 2) Do i get a Discovery filter as listed...

Thanks for the replies. Crawled around underneath and found that the main earth to the engine was green and weakend where it is bolted to the engine mount. Got one from Halfords for a fiver including some cable ties. Also checked the main battery earth but the was fine! Started up and temp...

I think its good to leak a bit outside of peoples houses etc. Used to be the norm you know! Providing you have another leak else where then think its fine to fix it. My preference is steering box leak over the more common engine oil leak. Low steering oil can normally be spotted by a whine...

Yes mate its an internal window mounted thing that has its own feed.# Should i not lump them all in oone connection with one fuse?

Ey up All this talk of electrical fires is worry me! Have got three things running direct off my battery. My radio cassestte, my interior lights (2)and what must be a booster from my ariel. Should i stick a fuse in just after the live to run all three and if so what size fuse would you think...

A agree use it as soon as you hit loose stuff (not gravel)...taught that in the Army to. And knock it off just before you hit the tarmac. Have found it can stick in on some landies so its a matter of using your judgment (check for full lock judder) before you bat off up the road!:) Look at you...

Check the down pipe as well as the cap...mine had rusted all of the bolts and was lose....got a new cap and pipe from britpart and pop rivited onto the body....sorted!

its a bad earth mate...had the same thing on mine...when i indicated the front side light flashed! Check your earths....clean them up!
