Got one for not mental money. People are starting to charge a lot for spares. Everything is so tidy with the dash that I can’t be doing with having a broken switch surround

Before I spend silly money on one, does anyone have one of these knocking about please?

Small repair at lunch. The metal bracket that holds the stereo and centre vent panel had snapped off from the dash. I managed to bolt in a bit of metal so that it could be held in place again. Eliminating potential rattles. The plastic here explodes if you look at it wrong. So brittle.

Not much to report other than this vehicle has been excellent. It’s such motivation to finish my restoration as I really enjoy driving this. Only been driving my pickup when I’ve had to and I nearly put myself through the windscreen braking 😂. My goal is to have a lovely daily out of the...

Repair finished and seat section ready for spraying

The dash has been ontop of the disco. It’s been slowly turning disgusting. It will obviously need cleaning painting for the new colour scheme. Whilst cleaning earlier I noticed an issue! Seems the yanks didn’t have the light adjuster switch we did. So I can’t use the right hand one 🤦‍♂️

UJs? Drive shaft or cv? (You said it happened bad on full lock). Check prop promptly as you don’t want a UJ going on you

dirt cheap on Amazon mate. Got careful when you’re removing around the seams - the leather seats have fabric webbing and the bars slide through that then the hog rings clip to the seat. You’ll see what I mean. As the fabric is so aged it just rips. I had to glue some of the webbing back together

Don’t know about the fabric ones but the leather seat covers are held onto the seat foam via horizontal bars and hog rings. You’ll want some hog ring pliers and rings off Amazon if so. There’s a bar wherever there’s a seam 👍🏻
