Yes! Previous owner started it and it made me chuckle so I continued. She’s still being used daily!!! Current observations ideas are: Think my leaks gone since doing rocker cover and cyclone Steering wheel still needs straightening - I’m sure you can put a locking pin at dead centre but...

Pig was meant to be a pig. I bloody love this car though 😂 best 2k I ever spent (the hole in the pocket after purchase doesn’t count - that’s just disco tax)

Any advice for novice welder about to stitch new rear cross member to 90 chassis?

This is perfect advice!! Your chassis may be clean on outside but if it’s dirty on the inside on the weld area you will end up with fireworks down your sleeves and weld contamination. This may end up with you chopping out a tad more than you wanted to but worth it and necessary. EDIT - replied...

1992 200tdi Discovery, improving daily driver turned into rebuilding rear end.

How you getting on? Dippybud is referring to the end of sill to bottom of wheel arch tie in panel, it’s a bit t of a fiddle to make. Froggats sell them. I was jammy and picked two up second hand that never got used. You tie them in at bottom of arch then weld the circle to the side of the mount...

Tried being so gentle and one of the long pump bolts still snapped in the housing. Nearly lost my sh1t then remembered I had a spare that’s in much better nick. Swapping over to the silicone hoses I have, proflow pump, waxstat, Nissen rad. Hope to get her to that magical 300k without opening her...

The silver line one I got is rubbish. I don’t want another bit of tat. Can’t warrant a fancy leccy one. Happy with manual but want one that’s not a flimsy POS. Thanks

Std v’s 123 Ignition v’s Megasquirt in general, but as it relates to a V8 too…

You’ll know far more than I - I’ve still got lots of research to do. Last car I had with a dizzy was a good 10 years ago and that was jap and very reliable. I’m putting a v8 into a 300tdi disco. I do have a v8 loom but I wanted something easy and updated. The yanks seem to love the sniper on...

Std v’s 123 Ignition v’s Megasquirt in general, but as it relates to a V8 too…

I’ve done a bit of research on this of recent. I was going to go megasquirt but am now leaning towards either Holley sniper 2 or fitech for my build. I don’t want to be messing about with maps etc. I just want something that self learns and had it’s own intelligence. Have a look at those mate...
