No egr has been removed. I have noticed a little soot around the flexi part of downpipe so maybe that. Think I am going 2 have 2 start changing parts. Will try scrap yard 1st I think.

If u can stretch a little further I would go for a nanocom evo

had a look at air filter and seems like it has had the life sucked out of it, there are big gaps between the fins. Its only 4 months old 2. Anyway I have replaced that and noise is still there. Think its gonna have 2 go in to a garage for the 1st time since I have had it. Witch is not good news...

I have made it 2 site but think it is something 2 do with turbo. I getting a small puff of smoke now and then and its down on power. Looking through the front grill there is some oil on the bottom right corner of the intercooler. Could it b this?

Right I have checked manifold and all nuts are tight. Checked turbo and all seems fine. Belt all looks good but does have a bit of wear on 1 side on the top but nothing major. Will be going tomorrow and wait till the noise gets worse so I can hear were its coming from or wait till something happens

Hi, the noise seems louder under the car but cant pinpoint it as so many other noises. There is no smoke from exhaust and all round the manifold looks clean. I not sure about the remap as only had the car since feb. But it has had the egr deleted

Where in essex are you? I have a nanocom but am in ipswich if thats any good 2 you. I just had the same problem and when I plugged in it says nearside sensor.

I recently got a nanocom for my 2000 td5 disco, its saved me alot of time and money already as was able 2 diagnose faults without replacing parts I didnt need 2. The best thing with nanocom is u can record live data on a sd card and transfer 2 laptop.

I had a similar problem, I replaced wastegate modulator and problem solved.

Are the injectors coded correctly to the ecu?

I tried that the other day with petrol, a bit of oil came out but nothing major. might do it again over weekend but leave it to soak a while

Think I will give the modulator and hoses a go as cant think of anything else it can be. 1 thing I did notice is the bottom right of the intercooler has a bit of oil on it, is this normal? Mine is a 2000 model so got no cat and egr has been removed. The whistle of the turbo is quite loud.

I am still having problems with my disco. The main problem is lack of turbo pressure, on the nanocom it will only reach just over the 100 mark but the odd occasion it does hit the 220 but this is rare even driving it hard. I have checked all hoses and pipes, and wastegate is not seized. I am...
