I think heat from the brakes plays a part in them sticking. I've never had a front one difficult to remove. But I put the coppaslip on all of them anyway.

Unfortunately I know nothing as to whether or not the M47 is prone to oil-leaks or not - mine certainly isn't at 115K. However leaks of any kind will always of course drip from the bottom of the engine unit. Also bear in mind that any fluid will generally be blown back a bit by the air-flow...

First off - if the IRD oil was changed not so long ago it shouldn't be black. When I first changed mine at 80K it wasn't dirty looking. Are you sure this isn't engine oil leaking from somewhere else and running down to the lowest point? - That'll be jet black. The filler plug torque is 35Nm -...

I think that setting 3 for a Bosch MAF is equivalent to setting 8 for the Pierburg. I run at setting 8 which according to the instructions that came with it is high torque and medium power. I also have the dash switch which allows me to swap between the 'Eco' mode and the 'Power' mode...

Forgot to ask - are you sure that the wheel-arch pump is actually running when you switch on? When you turn the key to position 1 (i.e. don't try to start) - you should hear the pump run with a steady whirr for at least 30 seconds maybe up to a minute and a half before it shuts down.

How long have you had this car? You say a new fuel-pump was fitted a week before you bought it - so how old is the pump? Was it a genuine LR pump - or a cheapy questionable quality eBay job? Non OE pumps can have a very short life. The genuine ones generally last 80 - 100K. Could be the...

No - sorry - that's not the problem. That's the turbo solenoid vent filter which is meant to be left open and not connected to anything at all. What year is the car and how many miles? Was it a wheel-arch located pump or the under-bonnet one?
