For what it's worth the Freelander 1 PCD is 5X114mm The Freelander 2 and the Evoque are both 5X108mm LandRover loves 'bastard' sizes so nothing is interchangeable and wheels from other cars wont fit.

If you try stopping it part way up, it will go completely down. It's a safety feature to prevent someone getting their arm or head trapped.

What year of Freelander are you taking about? The facelift Freelander lamps can be taken out in minutes and the bulb fits from the back. To do it from the wheelarch would be possible I suppose - but a sod of a job and take 10 times as long.

Good point - there are rip-off bodgers in every country. My original point holds good though - generally there is much more repairing/refurbishing of things where you live than here - where garages want to immediately replace everything at a matter of course.

I can't argue with you as you are in Poland and have more experience of these matters than I. But the conversion of my old M-Benz 609D was 1st Class. It was coverted from a beer delivery van - and is now a minibus running daily to the Ukraine. ;)
