Hmmm. How would you tell if the chassis was still OK? Not that you'd be bothered on selling it, if you are a dyed-in-the-wool scrote. This has got me thinking. If the running gear is still OK, i.e. bushes etc, tyres, shocks it MAY be an indicator that the heat on the chassis wasn't too bad...

I think we are beginning to say the same thing now. Weaken the mixture a bit, and or change the plugs. If the engine really is a standard as it seem to be, now, I'd go with weaken ing the mix a tad to begin with. OK, this is for bikes, but a good explanation of how to do plug cuts or "chops"...
