only thing thats gone wrong on mine is the bloomin engine!:(

Have you actually had this done.. the injector? has it been replaced? Im just curious as my injector would not come out and this needed a new head so Im trying to gauge a service interval for when I need to take my injectors out and re-lube!

No! I just got it back last week....! and a second hand head on the car! they had to smash the rocker cover off and replace the injectors as they were all seized in, a friendly warning to all td4 owners ensure that you can remove injectors! I have just spent nearly £2k ! :(

top plastic cover £235 injectors £175 each ( most likely get damaged in process total cost £1200, on a 105k engine guarantee that if you only replace the one injector the other three will do the same after a short while....!

No luck with injector on my 105K miler, does anyone on here know of or have a lowish mileage td4 engine? The car is currently being dangled of the end of a two ton hoist and the injector is winning!:eek:

u know what I have been looking but im in a catch 22 situation with mine, I have to sell it to fund a new one , then I have to spend a lot of money to get it running to sell it so might aswell keep it to recoup some of the money grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:mad:

yep Im finding that out, but... car has done 105K rocker cover £235 injectors £160 pressing them out £40 each = £1035, that doesnt inc labour!!! or head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: any one got a rear end smashed freelander td4 for sale?

From my woes regarding injectors I would have the cover on , any water getting near those horrible impossible to remove common rail rejectors will leave them so tight you will cry with frustration:mad:

Im currently in Freelander Hell, Lets just hope none of your injectors need replacing! Then you will be doing a Basil Fawlty on it, I have spent £1000 on mine in 8mnths Freelander = Money pit:(

Im gonna put in copperslip when I assemble it if and I mean a big IF I can remove the injector, but so I am told by numerous garages its the carbon build up around the bottom of the injector that gives the problems, so copper slip wont really help much.......

I did the coca cola thing first off as my local friendly parts manager at LR suggested but to no avail, Im still trying tho I have made a weird and wonderful contraption to try and prise it out with a home made slide hammer with a 5kg weight on it, if that dont work and I dont break any more...
