You reckon yooove got relay problems.... I have TD4, when its running (Thats a big When!) i can remove fuel pump relay and the car still runs???? My brother has the same vehicle, and he has'nt got a fuel pump relay at all?? His car runs perfect!! I think the wiring on these vehicles...

Sounds to me that you have possibly a broken piston ring(s).. usually a tickling sound, top end! Draining the oil to find metal particles is good idea, but rings stay in the piston grooves even when broken in several bits!! A diagnostic test will show low compression on that cilinder!!
