All of a sudden I feel A LOT better! Hell that's rusty! Do you have any pics of the repaired patches near the arches and on the passenger side near the dickie seat? These are the bits I'm stressing about most!

Some nice looking work there fella. It's also my first time welding so it'll go well hopefully! What primers and paints did you use? I've asked this a lot but I like to know what different people choose.

Today I got the back completely stripped out to have a look at the other side. And a couple more of the passenger side. Also my sills are completely screwed, I'm starting to think I've bitten off more than I can chew :eek:

Do you think a mask would help much or is it just a case of being well ventilated? Also do you know of anywhere online to buy sheets of zin-tek from?

In that case should I just stick to 1.2mm steel and ditch the zinc tech? He just said it'll last so much longer than standard steel :confused:

Thanks for the tips guys, I've taken them all on board. Been having a play with the welder today on some scrap pieces and slowly getting a feel for it. Still not as consistent as I'd like to be, but a big improvement. Tomorrow I'm going to try and get a bigger bottle of argon/co2 as I only have...

I was going to get an eagle mask that was £60 then I saw this one for £70 and just had to buy it!! Its exactly the same mask but a different pattern....I guess a black one would be £50! That's what I'm doing at the moment, trying to figure out the best settings on scrap pieces. Once I've done...

There's a bit on there that reads "push A for positions 2-3". So I'm thinking 1 is 1, A-2 is 2 and A-3 is 3. So mine in the picture is set on 2-MIN, that make sense?! So there's position 1-3 then min-max. Which means I can use the guide in the 150TE instructions as the dial is just 1-3 and then...

A welders just not a welder without an "A" in there, yours must be an imitation!! :D

Thanks, I have looked on there but it shows the 150TE with a dial for the current and not 3 switches! The 100E is pictured with the 3 switches but surely the settings in the chart would be different for my machine being higher amp? :confused::confused::confused:

I've been having a practice on some scrap panels but don't have a manual with the welder so I'm a little lost what to do with the three white switches! I think I'll take your advice, just got to ask to borrow my mates pit as I don't fancy welding lay on my back!

That's the link MrNoisy! Can you remove the rear corner panel on it's own without removing the side panel with the glass in? I found the 6 screws by the rear door but couldn't see how it fixed to the next panel?:confused:
