110 but says 130 on the logbook???

Hard to say for sure with those pics, but looks like a 110 to me.. I wouldn't buy it without more information and the correct details on the log book.

    Hit the soddin barrier today

I can just get under a 2m barrier. With a little scrape of the roof rack and I have 3 inch lift and 265 75 16 It is pretty dam tight though!

    Is it worth going?

This is why land rovers are built for! Not the school run! Take it and if anything looks dodgy don't do it. You will have a great day, you'll get to see what your car can actually do and if you get mud on it... Wash it! Make sure you pressure wash the chassis as well though.

How do u put freelander in 4 wheel drive

Definitely the best topic I have seen for a while on here. Made me laugh!! What better way to put a smile on your face than the miss fortune of a freelander owner :p

New here looking to purchase a dicovery or freelander

Disco. Buy a decent one though. Take someone that knows what they are looking at/for. freelanders are ok... But they are basically a rover with a cleaver 4 wheel drive system. I've owned a defe, a disco and a freelander (for a short time) and would have the disco over all for everyday...

    Peaks Protest 'Back to Tarmac'

I would love to be there. But not only am I on worcester (not that much o a problem) but me and reside have our 20 week scan and I can't miss that! Hope plenty turn out. Need more 4x4 owners that actually abide by the 'green lane code of conduct' fighting the corner for us. There will soon be...

    wanders on tarmac

Poly bush for speed without a doubt. Swivel Is a good point. Check the kingpin. Remove shims if there is excess play.

    doors and disco`s

You must be fooking mental! Playing with door locks on a day like today :p

    wanders on tarmac

ALWAYS replace any nyloc nut! Faliur to do so can result in the nut coming loose with possibly fatal consequences! I would carry on with those, and if still persists I would recheck all trailing arm bushes, radius arm bushes, track rod ends, wheel bearings etc incase something has been missed!

    wanders on tarmac

I agree.. Shocks wouldn't cause it. And you'd know if a shock had gone or was going.

What things have you found in a 2nd hand car

A mate of mine found a bin bag full of... Lets call it broccoli.. In the boot of the disco he bought! He wisely returned it to its owner lol!

    wanders on tarmac

    The steering wheel that is!

    wanders on tarmac

You can take the play out of the wheel with an adjustment on the top of the steering box. Panhard rod bushes would definitely be on my list to check, so would track rod ends. You said you have checked the bearings, tracking, wheel alignment and pressures etc. Is there any signs of uneven wear...

    wanders on tarmac

I'd try the steering damper. Changed mine to a heavy duty one and solved all steering wobble, wandering, sudden jerkiness etc.

Is £400 too cheap for a 300tdi Engine and Box

£400 for the engine, gearbox and transfer box. Yes I'd say that was a pretty low offer. When I was looking for a 300tdi engine on its own most wanted £400-£450 + the gearbox etc!
