Are you using a android device or a iPhone? if it is iPhone you will need the specific iPhone cable if it is android you will need to either Bluetooth it or use a 3.5mm jack to jack lead. That's how we use it on the new stuff when I get a 11plate in at work il have a little look to jog my memory
