Will a set off discovery seats go into a series or am i better off with some defender seats.

Just replaced my starting motor as the old one was sticking, found the exhaust was slightly loose on the manifold, a bit of hasle but manadged to tighten it up, reset the mixture on the carb. Took it out for spin and I cant beleve hom much better it went !!!!!! its flying....... I will post...

Im running a petrol 2.25 fitted new distributor and carb, getting 12/13 mpg. today took oil bath filter off and fitted a K & N filter, goes better will have to see if the mpg goes up.!!

Can you use the power steering off the 200tdi ?

Im thinking of going down the 200tdi route if I buy a complete car what else can I use off it, ie: power steering etc...

sounds a bit easy..... what about the turbo ? what mpg will I get on a 4 speed box.

I have a series 2 1959, which has a 90 bonnet and series 3 wings, so loads of space to replace the fuel drinking ( 12/15 mpg ) series 3 2.25 engine. Ive been offered a diesel 2.1 Peugeot or a diesel 3.0 Mazda, which one would be best. ??

My series 2/3 engine seems to be drinking the fuel to quickly !! ( like they all do ) I can always smell petrol, have re-sealed sender unit on top of tank and replaced rubber hose to the fuel pump. Could the fuel pump be leaking internally ?

Fitted new points on distributor and they are at max but only getting about 12 thou " need a new distrubtor I think or go electronic, seen one on ebay ACC SPARK are they any good. ?

Its the in line brake pressure switch, which activates the brake lights. I stamped on the brakes hard a couple of times today and they eventually came on. I have read on a thread that these items dont last very long ! The ones on e bay are about £5. Are there any better ones available.

Their are some on ebay but which one do I need 3/8 UNF or M10 x 1 or are their better ones ?
