Anyone tried or thought of fitting a K&N filter kit on their 1.8 petrol F.L ? Will it put more strain on the already fragile engine? wondering if a more free flowing filter would help the engine cooling issues any.

yup. just undid the 6 bolts on the front the 4 holding the centre and vcu up and the 4 at the back and dropped the shaft as 1 piece. i used 3/8 and 5/16 star sockets and 10 mil spanner front and 17 mil spanner back and 10mil socket for the centres. took me about half an hour but that was...

shine a small torch at the back of the clock while looking at the front and that will tell you if the bulb has been removed. mine had because it stayed on all the time. i read the handbook that they need servicing every few years and this is why the light stays on but its not an mot failure yet...

thanks for that. just put my mind at ease. it has no elecs going to it at all. looks just like a transfer box for the brake pipes. all it has going to it or from it are the 6 brake pipes.
