Next time when engine is cold try setting off in 2nd or 3rd gear keeping the revs at about 2000, if the clutch has oil contamination this will help clear it briefly, if the clutch if OK after this then it is oil contamination.

I think at 95 the 300Tdi was still the engine in a 90.

How many miles since new turbo fitted? If not many it may just be burning the oil off from inside the exhaust that found it's way in there after turbo failed.

My 300Tdi was exactly the same on 50/50 veg oil mix, I have tried on and off and finally packed in veg oil all together, ran the tank almost empty, filled up with diesel, added two tins of Liqui Moly fuel system cleaner and the difference with in 100 miles was staggering.

You'll be very lucky to get bottles exchanged now without buying a contract, the good old days of buying a bottle from a local engineering place have long gone. You can't even get a bottle of CO2 that way cos they're all on contract and have serial numbers.
